Who: Non-parent Relative Caregivers of individuals with various disabilities

Description: Kinship Services Network of Hillsborough holds monthly kinship support group events where relative caregivers can receive valuable information about support services offered to help keep their families strong. Any non-parent relative caregiver caring full-time for a child may participate in the program by calling Hermeana Clark at The Children's Home, Inc. at (813) 901-3431.

Asperger's Support Group for Adults

Who: Ideal group members are at least 18 years old and have a desire to improve their lives and help others.

Description: The group focuses on building new relationships as well as enhancing current relationships, job issues, and family struggles. The cost is $40 per session. Before attending the group there is an intake session that cost $80. Intake session is held at Mr. Tompkins' office in South Tampa. (806 W De Leon Street).

Asperger's Support Group for Adults (Swann Ave.)

Who: Ideal group members are at least 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome.

Description: The group focuses on building new relationships as well as enhancing current relationships, job issues, and family struggles. The cost is $30 per session. FriendZone

Who: Families of children with special needs ages 2-16

Description: A monthly 3 hour respite program open to ALL families in the community, regardless of religious affiliation. Register online or by phone. Through art, music, games, therapy pets and other activities, children enjoy a fun, social opportunity facilitated by trained adults and youth?s volunteers. Also offers the SuperSibs program, Siblings ages 4-7 years can stay on the church campus to enjoy the FriendZone experience. Older sibs can be part of off-site fun, participating in such activities˙as bowling, mini golf, movies, etc. A parent orientation is required prior to your child's/family's enrollment.

Warriors For Autism Support Squad Meet Up Group

Who: Parents of children/adolescents/young adults with ASD

Description: Our parent support group is open to any family in the community, not just current or potential clients. Each meeting we bring in a speaker from the community to provide relevant information for a short presentation, and then the remaining time is open discussion. EAP provides a limited number of complimentary child care spots with BCBAs and RBTs on site, but to ensure availability, please call and RSVP prior to the event. Siblings are also welcome. Light refreshments are served.
